A Summer to Remember

It’s a Summer to Remember for Youth in Care Thanks to the Upstate Chevrolet Dealers!

A young child wearing an orange shirt and blue tie-dye shorts is playing joyfully in a water fountain. They are smiling as water splashes around them on a sunny day. Other children and adults are visible in the background enjoying the fountain area.

The Upstate Chevrolet Dealers have once again shown their commitment to the community by increasing their donation to $25,000 for Together for Youth’s ‘Summer to Remember’ program. This contribution ensures that the upcoming summer will be filled with adventures and cherished memories for youth across the Greater Capital Region.

At the heart of this initiative is a desire to provide youth in care with an unforgettable summer experience, filled with exciting excursions and memorable activities. For many youth in the community, circumstances often stand in the way of these simple pleasures. This program builds a bridge to close that gap, offering experiences that are not only fun but also transformative, fostering positivity, happiness, and lasting memories.

The support from the Upstate Chevrolet Dealers is the cornerstone of this effort. Their generosity will enable youth in care to embark on a series of adventures throughout the Greater Capital Region. From apple-picking outings to movie trips, from splashes at the Zoom Flume water park to laughter-filled days at local amusement parks, the experiences are as diverse as they are fun. Beyond the surface, these field trips play a central role in promoting social interaction, personal growth, and a sense of normalcy that can shape these young lives in profound ways.

Brian Parchesky, the President & CEO of Together for Youth, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the support from Upstate Chevrolet Dealers, saying, “We are truly grateful for the continued generosity displayed by Upstate Chevrolet Dealers. This year’s partnership once again highlights the strength of our community united in supporting the well-being of our youth. Together, we are making a real difference in these young lives, and we believe this collaboration continues to set a powerful example for the entire community.”
